Natalie Tse, SE
SEAONC Member Since 2004
Getting involved in SEAONC gave me an opportunity to meet, get to know, and collaborate with other professionals within the local community. Making connections with people outside your own office has an incredible number of both personal and professional benefits, including mentorship, career growth, community connectivity, and leadership opportunities. All of the technical presentations help keep us up to date with new technologies, research, code changes. They give us an edge of creativity and keep us curious and inspired in our day to day work.
I honestly can't imagine how different my life would be had I not been introduced to SEAONC by a colleague when I first moved here in 2004. I am grateful to that friend and hope others will continue to pay it forward. It's our responsibility to engage the next generation, make them feel welcome, give them opportunities to grow and learn, and ensure they have the resources to thrive.
