Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Mission Statement
The Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) embraces a diverse membership and promotes inclusion in the Association, the structural engineering workplace, and the communities we serve. The Board of Directors ensures that diversity, equity and inclusion are firmly embedded in SEAONC’s culture, initiatives, and programs.
In pursuit of these goals the Board of Directors has created the SEAONC DEI Endowment Fund. The DEI Endowment will ensure the long-range financial future of a restricted fund to support entities, programs, scholarships, and initiatives to advance DEI in the structural engineering profession. The Endowment is invested and managed separately from general SEAONC funds, including SEAONC Reserves. Gifts to the endowment are restricted to support and develop DEI activities. The Endowment is governed by the SEAONC Endowment Committee. The Committee is comprised of only SEAONC Members, with terms of three years.
